Jermisha (Misha) Frazier, M. Ed.
The first-generation college graduate from New Orleans, Louisiana received her Masters of Education in June of 2019 from the High Tech High Graduate School of Education. The High Tech High Graduate School of Education (GSE) supports leaders in reimagining education with a focus on equity, deeper learning and shared leadership. There, she centered her research on the influence of cultural representation on the experiences of Black students in a predominantly white environments. Misha is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Human Sexuality at the California Institute of Integral Studies. The interdisciplinary program in critical sexuality studies draws on queer theory, intersectionality, feminism, history, philosophy, biology, social sciences, and clinical and policy studies to train scholars to expand their holistic sexual literacy knowledge to impact individual and societal change initiatives. In addition to that, she is in the final stages of becoming an AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator. The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) is a not-for-profit, interdisciplinary professional organization increasingly being recognized as the guardian of professional standards in sexual health. Misha is a poet, sex coach, and Dog Mom! She deeply believes that white supremacy is the root of all evil, and works diligently to dismantle systems of oppression. Click here to access her LinkedIn. |
